SENIOR EVENTS & ACTIVITIES

Senior Year at Columbia High School is filled with memorable events and so much joy ... yearbooks, senior portraits, prom, celebrations, and GRADUATION! But all the things that make the year special can be a financial hardship for families. Financial assistance for certain senior activities is available through the district for those who qualify and CHS HSA Cougar Cares helps fill in the gaps by providing additional funding for more families and other activities.

The CHS Home and School Association is committed to ensuring equal access to Senior Year activities for all students. If your family does NOT need assistance, please consider helping us fund this extra support by donating to the HSA or directly donating to Midnight Madness.

Here are the Class of 2025 events and celebrations happening this spring and how to request financial assistance:

Midnight Madness on June 18th

$100 (estimate). Optional.

Midnight Madness has been a CHS tradition for over 35 years, taking the graduating class on a substance- and phone-free mystery overnight adventure after graduation. The Midnight Madness destination is TOP SECRET and won't be revealed until the Class of 2025 arrives at the venue.

Registration is now open at the early-bird rate of $90 per ticket! (Fundraisers, like Senior Signs and Flocking, and community sponsors help lower the cost for students.)

Everyone is invited, no matter their ability to pay the registration fee. If you need financial assistance, there is an option to request a free ticket on the order form. We don't want cost to be a barrier for students who want to attend.

Flamingo Flocks

$35. Optional.

Orders closed on Monday, May 5th.

Another fun Midnight Madness fundraiser is surprising our seniors with a flock of flamingos that appear in their front yard overnight. After a few days, the birds will fly away to visit another senior's home. Our volunteer teams are delivering flocks right now and will continue through early June.

If you have questions, please reach out to chsflockingseniors@gmail.com.

Senior Lawn Signs

$35. Optional.

Orders closed on Sunday, April 6th.

A lawn sign personalized with your senior's name is a great way to announce their graduation milestone. All proceeds help make our Midnight Madness celebration in June accessible to all CHS Seniors.

Our goal is for everyone who wants to celebrate their graduating student with a Senior Sign to have one. A limited number of signs will be printed without a name and available for sale during the June pick-up window. If you would like a sign and need financial assistance, please email CHSSeniorSigns25@gmail.com right now so they can set one aside for you.

Senior Scholarships

The application period closed on Wednesday 4/16.

Applications for the 2025-2026 Columbia High School Scholarship Fund are available in the Counseling Office. Scholarships are need-based and can be used for any kind of post-secondary education. Details and applications are also available on the CHSSF website
